Women

Women's Wednesday A.M. Study Group
The Wednesday Morning Women’s Study Group, having completed their latest study, will take a hiatus in August. During this time most of us will be reading Tony Dungy’s Quiet Strength. We will discuss Coach Dungy’s book on September 5 in a home (check with the church office for location.)

Our new study, beginning September 12, will be Yours Are The Hands of Christ by James C. Howell ($10)—taking spirituality into the world. Several other church groups are also studying this book. All Are Welcome To Join Us!

Contact Carol Casazza if you have questions, or just join us on September 5th or 12th. We normally meet on Wednesday mornings in the back of the church Chapel from 9:15 to 10:45.

Women's Spiritual Formation Group: You are invited to join a new group for women who have a strong desire to deepen their faith. This group, led by Shelly Everetts, will be on-going and will experiment with and explore spiritual formation material.

Weekly preparation, regular attendance and sharing are some of the core characteristics which define the dynamics of the group as we move toward covenant.

We will begin our journey on October 1st with the book Intimate Faith—A Woman’s Guide to the Spiritual Disciples by Jan Winebrenner. Cost of the book is $13. Group size is limited. Call Shelly, 286-5394 or the church, 747-8500, to reserve your space. The group will meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Room 305.

Mother’s Study Group
This group of moms meets for Bible or book studies once a month. They gather for either breakfast or lunch to share their thoughts and insights. Contact Kellie Maines at 284-1109 for information on meeting dates and times.

‘Girls Night Out’ and F.L.O.K.
Join us for fun, fellowship and spiritual growth designed especially for women with a ‘Girls Night Out’ and the Fabulous Ladies Of Koinonia. To be notified about these events which take place throughout the year, contact Mary Ruble at 789-6160.

United Methodist Women
The UMW is, by membership, the largest women’s organization in the world. It evolved from a commitment to mission and Christian service. High Street Church offers a number of UMW Circles. There are morning, afternoon and evening Circle meetings and all women are invited to take part. Child care is available if needed. To become involved in the Circle that is just right for you, call Donna McNary, 789-6409, or call the church office, 747-8500.
