Sunday School

Classes are offered for each age group every Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Our purpose is to offer time for children through older adults to learn the Bible stories, relate them to their life, and practice the things they learn in a fun, safe, and healthy atmosphere.

 

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL

3, 4 & 5 YEAR OLDS

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 5TH GRADE: Using a format called "Promiseland" these children meet in Room 307 and have time together with music, skits, and video that relates to a Bible story, and at a designated time, divide into response groups by age.


YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

 JUNIOR HIGH CLASS (6th - 8th Grade): Lively lessons for youth; meets in the Mezzanine.

SENIOR HIGH CLASS (9th - 12th Grade): Exciting and thought-provoking lessons for today's teens. They meet in the Youth Lounge, off Parish Hall.

 

 

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

BETHANY CLASS: Encompasses a wide range of folks in their 40's to 60's. It is a large class with a creative approach to Christianity, relationship to others, and rearing a Christian family. They meet in Room 205.

EPWORTH CLASS: Appeals to adults in their 60's and over. This class examines everyday Biblical issues as a foundation for their faith journey. They meet in the Parish Hall.

FAITHLINKS CLASS: Includes married and single persons.  This class meets in the Library

KOINONIA CLASS: Includes married and single persons, most being parents of preschool through middle school-aged children. Study emphasis includes contemporary issues facing Christians in today's society. Many times this class incorporates "hands-on" projects. These folks meet in Room 305

SEEKERS & SERVERS CLASS: This class consists of single and married persons in their 20's to 40's.  They meet in Room 204.

 F.O.C.U.S. GROUP: Focus, Others, Christ, Unity, Service  This class is made up of singles and couples who are in their 20's and 30's.  They study a variety of subjects that help them become faithful Christians and great parents.  They meet in Room G-6.

 

INTERGENERATIONAL SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Whenever there is a 5th Sunday in a month, High Street Church offers a unique intergenerational experience for all ages from Grade 6 to all adults.  All these Sunday School classes (and anyone else interested) come together on these days to learn together.  The classes meet in the Parish Hall from 9:45 until 10:45 am.  The dates for 2009 are March 29, May 31, August 30, and November 29.  For more information, contact Pastor Marti.
