Going Where Love Takes You

Through our sermon series on poverty we have gained several insights.
1. The first step in addressing poverty is to look at our own hearts. We need to see the poor with the eyes of Jesus.
2. We need to respond to the needs of the poor. It is not sufficient to gain information and spiritual insights if we do not apply them.
3. The poor are more than statistics. They are people like you and I who want to care and provide for their families whom they love as much as we love our families.
4. God calls us to a discipleship that includes both our love of him and our love of others. Following Jesus requires that both be a part of our spiritual journey.
