Introduction: A cornerstone was used to make sure a builiding would be square.  Jesus is the cornerstone for our life so that our spiritual house may be square and be aligned with the plan of God revealed in Jesus Christ.

Point 1: Jesus tells us story about how people of all generations reject God and will eventually rejected him as God's representative.

Point 2: Peter (I Peter 2) tells us that because Jesus is the authentic cornerstone, we can build our lives on a solid foundation knowing that is makes it possible for us to (1) begin to see spiritually the things God is doing, (2) receive the mercy he freely offers, (3) know that we are a somebody in the eyes of God. and (4) become intercessors for others who may not have received Jesus as the cornerstone of their life.
