Ready, Set, Christmas: Presence

Joseph experienced a dark time in his life when Mary shared with him she was pregnant with the Son of God.  He did not believe her and all his hopes and dreams with her were shattered.  What has shattered your hopes and dreams?  What do you do when your feel so disappointed, alone, cut off with wg=hat seems no future?

We can identify some blocks that may prevent our awareness of the presence of God.

1. Inattentiveness of our relationship with Jesus can allow us to drift away where we no longer expereince the presence of God.

2. We try to make God in our image.  we dictate to God the conditions under which he must operate in our live.

3. We don't follow the direction of the Spirit in our lives.  It is easier to just shut down.
