Come Home to High Street

FAQs

  • We have a traditional, classic worship service at 10:00 am that is both in-person and live-streamed in our historic Sanctuary on Sundays. You’ll hear soaring hymns on the Skinner organ, our Sanctuary choir, and occasionally a full orchestra for special occasions.

  • Although our congregation tends to dress up for Sunday services, we welcome you as you are. You will find congregants in jeans, khakis, and some in more formal attire. During the traditional 10am service, our pastors wear robes, as does our choir.

  • High Street UMC members have long been actively engaged in the Muncie community. We strive to engage in ministry with, rather than to, our neighbors. We have an ongoing Food Pantry, a Samaritan Fund, and SHIP counseling. Additionally, we have a Thursday luncheon for senior adults which meets April – December. We enjoy other mission opportunities throughout the year as they present themselves.

  • There are numerous ways to become involved in the ministries and missions of High Street UMC. Whether you’re an adult, a youth, or a child, we want you to plug into the various means of staying involved in the church and in our community. You can engage through outreach programs, groups within the church, music ensembles, or in other ways. Just ask!
