“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am among them.”

Matthew 18:20 (NRSV)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 1:1 (NRSV)

In myriad forms, High Street United Methodist Church has been home to a traditional worship service since its very inception in 1839, when it was known as the Methodist Meeting House.

In our current traditional worship service, you can expect to see, and hear, acolytes; pipe organ; traditional hymns; and liturgical presentations of prayers, creeds, and scripture.

We’re pleased to incorporate our handbell choir monthly, and a full orchestra on special occasions such as Christmas and Easter.

On Sunday mornings, the children are invited forward for a moment with one of the pastors. They are then invited to the Children’s area for a time of teaching and activities.

Our 10am traditional worship service is streamed live to Facebook and YouTube.
